A post mortem has found that the man who was found dead Saturday at Rising Sun Backdam, West Coast Berbice (W.C.B) died from asphyxia by drowning.
Police had said investigators were probing the discovery of the body of 64-year-old Clive Skeete called “Bungo.” Now with the results of the post mortem, the Police have handed over his body to his relatives for burial.
Skeete lived at Seafield, West Coast Berbice.
Police went to look for his body after they had a call from an unidentified person.
A bag of unpeeled coconuts and a metal bar were seen about thirty feet north of the body.
The body was identified by his son Leon Skeete. He said he last saw his father alive at his home about two weeks ago.
