Bicycles, motorcycles hauled in during Police clamp down
Police have found that motorcyclists and pedal cyclists are the main causes of road accidents and road fatalities for the year so far.
A two-hour campaign targeting these road users on Thursday found a number of irregularities and breaches to the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Regulations Chapter 51:02. As a result, several bicycles and motorcycles found in breach were lodged at Traffic Headquarters, Eve Leary in Georgetown.

The Guyana Police Force have been clamping down on errant motorcyclists after realizing that motorcyclists have a habit of riding on the outside of roadways and in the process confuses the police’s traffic arrangement for a smooth flow.
