Police have arrested a 47-year-old man after he allegedly raped and robbed a 64-year-old woman of $200,000 on Monday.
Police Headquarters in a brief statement noted that the incident occurred in Region Six (East Berbice – Corentyne).
Police said the cash was recovered after the suspect was arrested at his home.
Investigations are ongoing.
