A 49-year-old man was placed into police custody after police nabbed him with a .38 pistol and five matching rounds at the CJ Hotel on Hinck Street, Lacytown, Georgetown.
Police, acting on information, went to the hotel on Wednesday at around 23:50hrs and made contact with the suspect who was a guest in one of the rooms.
Police searched the black one strap bag which hung across his shoulder and found the Bryco .38 pistol and five matching rounds.
When police asked the suspect whether he had a license, he reportedly said no. He was then arrested and the firearm and matching rounds were lodged.
Investigations are continuing.
