177 new COVID-19 cases, 15 in ICU

A total of 177 new COVID-19 infections were recorded from 1,271 tests on Saturday, taking the overall number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 24,224.

No new deaths were reported which means that the total number of persons who died since last year is 591.

The new infections were recorded in Region One (three new cases), Region Two (two cases), Region Three (23 cases), Region Four (91 cases), Region Five (four cases), Region Six (one case), Region Seven (11 cases) Region Nine (84 cases) and Region 10 (nine cases).

There are 15 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 103 patients are in institutional isolation; 1,197 are isolated at home and five persons are in institutional quarantine.

To date, 22,318 persons have recovered from the dreaded virus.
