A resident of Sisters Village, West Bank Demerara, was on Sunday stabbed several times about the body with a broken bottle during an argument with his drinking buddy.
According to a police report, the victim and the suspect – only known as ‘Banga’ – were imbibing at Belle West at around 19:40 hrs when they got into an argument.
‘Banga’ reportedly grabbed a glass bottle and stabbed the victim several times before escaping.
Persons in the area took the injured man to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was then transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
Investigations are ongoing.
