A Parika, East Bank Essequibo family was caught assaulting police ranks who responded to a noise nuisance report on Wednesday night. The incident occurred between 21:00hrs and 21:30hrs.
Police Headquarters said in a statement that upon arrival at the location, ranks were greeted with loud music. A music set amplifier was seized after a female relative was told to turn off the music but became aggressive towards the ranks.
In a video which was released by the police, a person is seen holding a knife while the female relative and others physically assaulted and verbally abused the officers. No one was arrested.
