The Rotary Club of Demerara recently held its first blood drive and HIV testing for the year at the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMR&SC), and it was deemed a success by the organisers.

According to a release from the club, despite the drive not meeting the target figure of over 50 units, they still managed to secure 46 units and five deferrals.

“Given that this was our first blood drive for the year we take this experience as a learning one so that we may be able to have an even more rewarding blood drive in the future”, the release added.

The Club expressed thanks to the support of ANSA McAL Trading Limited, Rent-A-Tent, HJ 94.1, GMR&SC along with other partners in service.
