Police have a arrested a man from Region Six who allegedly verbally abused and sexually assaulted a 44-year-old woman between September 1 and 3.
Police Headquarters in a statement revealed that the suspect and the woman have known each other for over 30 years.
The woman told police that she was in front of her home when the suspect came up to her and started to abuse her using a series of foul language; he then reportedly grabbed her private parts.
The matter was reported to police on September 4 and the suspect was arrested and placed into custody, pending investigations.
