Speeding driver crashes into truck on Linden highway

A 31-year-old minibus driver Michael Daniels was injured after he crashed into a truck at the Madewini Public Road along the Soesdyke Linden Highway in the wee hours of Sunday.

Daniels, of Loo Creek, Soesdyke Linden Highway was allegedly speeding when he lost control of minibus BZZ 6091.

Police Headquarters reported that both vehicles received extensive damages. The driver of the truck, Rameshwar Maraj, 35, of Greenfield, East Coast Demerara is in custody assisting with the investigations, while Daniels is being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
