Father of Olympian Chelsea Edghill passes
In happier times, Deirdre Baynes-Edghill and Godfrey Edghill with their daughter, Chelsea
Godfrey Edghill, the father of Olympian Chelsea Edghill, passed away Monday evening. He was age 62 and leaves behind a wife and three children.
Chelsea was the first Table Tennis player from Guyana to qualify for the Olympics and she competed in Tokyo, Japan.
Before heading to the Olympics, the Table Tennis player was outspoken about the financial investment her family gave her to compete for Guyana and train overseas.
