A 51-year-old Enhancement Worker attached to the Queenstown Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) on the Essequibo Coast was found floating in a nearby trench in the community.
Dead is Seeree Taramattie of Sand Reef, Queenstown; he was found at around 10:45hrs on Sunday.
“We saw him floating with his face down in the water; when they took he out fish already had eaten his face out,” a resident said.
The body was retrieved and Taramattie was officially pronounced dead at the Suddie Public Hospital where it now awaits an autopsy. Investigations are ongoing.
