Police have arrested a Lance Corporal of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in Region One (Barima-Waini).
Police Headquarters revealed that the offence occurred between September 14, 2020, to September 15, 2021.
A preliminary investigation into this matter revealed that the victim and suspect shared a relationship for about one year before it was finally reported to the police on Tuesday, the statement from Police Headquarters revealed.
