    Guyanese Matthew Nandu and Isai Thorne made contributions on Tuesday, but West Indies Under-19s were defeated by England Under-19s in the fifth Youth ODI in Canterbury.

    The one-wicket victory gave the English youngsters a 4-1 series lead with one game to play on Friday.

    Batting first, West Indies made 166 all out in 41 overs with 18-year-old Nandu topscoring with 51. The right-handed opener struck three fours in his 58-ball knock.

    Skipper Giovonte Depeiza made 34 not out and Ackeem Auguste 32, as Joshua Boyden (2-21), Fateh Singh (2-24) and Nathan Barnwell (2-25) were among the wickets.

    England lost wickets at regular intervals, but managed to sneak home at 170-9 in 42 overs. George Bell led the run-chase with 60 not out, while James Cole made 31 and Rehan Ahmed 27.

    Bowling for West Indies Under-19s, Andel Gordon took 3-37, Johann Layne 3-40 and Thorne 2-41.

    Tuesday, September 14: 5th Youth ODI – England won by one wicket at Canterbury

    Friday, September 17: 6th Youth ODI – Canterbury
