Man wanted for murder of BV man

Police Headquarters have issued a wanted bulletin for 29-year-old Llamont Orin Beveney in connection with the murder of Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara man Alwyn Eastman.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Llamont Orin Beveney who is also from Beterverwagting, is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 227-2603, 226-6978, 225-8196, 2292289, 2293564, 2292557, 2292662, 911 or the nearest police station. All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Eastman, 27, was allegedly killed during a fight with Beveney on August 29, 2021. Police Headquarters had reported that Eastman was stabbed to the upper left chest and right side abdomen.

The News Room understands that Eastman and Beveney got into a fight as a result of an old grievance.

On the day of the incident about 18:30h, Eastman was walking along the Beterverwagting access road with his cousin, Josh Alves when Beveney suspect approached them.

Police said Eastman and Beveney got into an argument and subsequently started to fight. During the fight Beveney fell inside a trench; he then got up, went behind Eastman and stabbed him.
