Man undergoes emergency surgery after riddled with bullets in Sophia

A 27-year-old male is currently nursing several gunshot wounds about his body after been shot several times just after midnight on Saturday at ‘d’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown.

According to a police report, the victim was standing in front of Odingo shop when two suspects rode up on a red and white motorcycle.

The suspects approached the victim and an argument ensued between them. The pillion rider drew a firearm from his waist and discharged several rounds at the victim which hit him about his body.

The two suspects after discharging the rounds made good their escape.

The injured man was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by an unknown person, where he is admitted a patient and presently undergoing surgery.

His condition is regarded as stable though he sustained one gunshot to his chest, one to his thigh, one to his groin, one to his buttocks, one to his back and one to his lower abdomen.

Checks were made for the suspects but they were not located.
