A 66-year-old woman was on Monday released on $300,000 bail for attempting to defraud a real estate agent.
Loren Graham appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
She denied that between September 1-17, 2021, at Georgetown, she conspired with others by falsely pretending to Leon Joseph, a real estate agent.
She reportedly pretended that she was in the position to sell a parcel of land located at Lot 924 Eccles, East Bank Demerara, knowing same to be false.
Police Prosecutor Annalisa Brummell objected to Graham being released on bail.
Magistrate Daly, however, released Graham on $300,000 bail and adjourned the matter until October 18.
