Investigations are underway into an alleged theft from a Linden mechanic’s home on Sunday, which occurred sometime between 21:40hrs and 22:35hrs.
Police said the mechanic of One Mile, Wismar, Linden, secured his home and left for Amelia’s Ward, Mackenzie, to hang out with some friends.
When he returned, he discovered his bedrooms ransacked and his black Samsung Galaxy tablet valued G$100,000 and US$200 cash missing.
On checking further, the mechanic discovered a bedroom window broken and partially open. In the yard, he observed a blue drink case braced against the wall underneath the window with a piece of a brick wrapped in a long black and white track Nike pants on the ground.
He raised an alarm and then made a report to the police station. Investigation is ongoing.
