A 19-year-old Lamaha Park, Georgetown girl died without regaining consciousness one week after she was involved in an accident at the junction of Sheriff and Fourth Streets, Georgetown.
Dead is Isha Persaud; she died at about 10:00hrs at the Georgetown Public Hospital on Monday.
Police Headquarters in a statement said Persaud was the pillion rider on a motorcycle CJ 9981 being driven by Kemo Hinckson, 23, of D’Urban Street, Georgetown.
On September 12, 2021, Persaud was injured in an accident that also involved a motorcar PZZ 6074 which was being driven by 22-year-old Matthew Paul Greave.
Police did not provide more details on the accident but said the body is presently at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
