Rotary Demerara gets 1.5M worth of shoes from John Lewis Styles

The Rotary Club of Demerara has gotten another significant boost to their humanitarian efforts when John Lewis Styles recently donated approximately 1.5 million dollars worth of shoes.

 The shoes cater for males, females, and children, and by next week, Club President Carey Griffith indicated they hope to begin distribution to those in need.

Griffith said the donated shoes will be distributed to various orphanages and communities across the country.

“Over the years our club has played a coordinating role and assisting in the distribution of items from other organizations. We are forever grateful for these donations and collaborations as we continue to make a difference through our service”, the President expressed.
