The senior Rutherford died on Thursday while receiving care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal, Georgetown; the News Room understands that he was not vaccinated against the virus and had several underlying medical conditions.

The News Room was reliably informed that Rutherford, of Enmore, East Coast Demerara, first tested positive on September 5, 2021, and was isolated at home, however, he experienced shortness of breath on September 21 and was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital.

He was later transferred to Liliendaal facility where he succumbed the following day.

Following his death, his son, Sherfane, who was playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates, left the franchise to return home.

The franchise posted: “The #SRH family conveys its heartfelt condolences to Sherfane Rutherford and his family on the passing away of his father. Sherfane will be leaving the IPL bio-bubble to be with his family in this difficult hour.”

All the anti-vax campaigners should be so proud of themselves. Lampy? Pampy? Anyone? You guys all vaccinated and proud that you scared persons into not vaccinating.

Look at the photo of this man and tell me why you think he should not have been vaccinated?
