A small contingent of three players and a coach will leave Guyana for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on Saturday to represent the country in the COTECC/ITF Under-12 tournament.

The tournament is for players in Latin American and Caribbean countries. Guyana would be represented by number one seed Nathan DeNobrega, Elwyn Levius and Kendell Prince.

The trio will be accompanied by the experienced national coach Shelly Daly. The tournament will conclude on October 2.

The Guyana Tennis Association said: “The players will enter a bubble and require testing at intervals, along with a negative PCR test upon arrival. They are going through the final touches of coaching with coaches Andre Erskine and Shelly Daly. Fitness and psychological assessments are being undertaken by the physio and psychologist attached to the National Sports commission.”
