Neighbour saves 5 children from burning Linden house
Five children were saved by their neighbour after their Blueberry Hill, Linden house was allegedly set on fire on Thursday.
Police Headquarters reported that the fire started sometime around 11:45hrs. The children were locked inside the house while their mother, 35-year-old Orlene Holder left to visit a school.
Police said the neighbour heard the screams of the children coming from the woman’s house and upon investigating, she saw smoke emanating from it.
According to police, the neighbour opened the door and removed the five children.
The Linden Fire Service was then summoned to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire.
Investigations are ongoing.
