Cop robbed of uniform, other valuables on Water St.
Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a 38-year-old policeman at knifepoint on Friday morning on Water Street, Georgetown.
According to a police report, the cop was walking east on Water Street at around 06:45hrs when the bandit attacked him from behind with a knife.
The two began to scuffle before falling to the ground during which the suspect cut the cop’s haversack from his back and escaped. The backpack included a black Croal cell phone valued at $12,000 and a police uniform valued at $18,000.
Efforts are being made to locate the suspect as the investigation continue.
