A 30-year-old driver of River View, Mosquito Hall, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, was beaten by relatives of a man he hit down and ran over at the KK Service Station, Unity, East Coast Demerara, on Sunday.
Police Headquarters reported that Deon Dowden was driving motorcar PZZ 6595 in an eastern direction when he collided with Anthony Dudram, 29, of Lancaster, Mahaica.
The accident occurred at about 21:30hrs. Dudram was picked up by his brother in a conscious condition and taken to the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital and later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
He is suffering from a dislocated pelvis bone, police reported.
Dowden was also taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital suffering from lacerations about the body after he was beaten by Dudram’s relatives.
