Farmer feared dead in boat accident


Police have launched a search for 37-year-old Harry Mangal, a farmer of Abrams Creek, Upper Pomeroon River who is missing and feared drowned after a wooden boat with a 15HP outboard engine crashed into his canoe.

The News Room understands that the incident occurred at about 21:00hrs on Tuesday along the Abrams Creek. Mangal was the lone occupant of the canoe at the time.

Police have since arrested the captain of the wooden boat as the search continues for Mangal.
