The Guyana Police Force is investigating a report made by a 21-year-old female alleging that she is being humiliated by her former boyfriend on the social platform Tik Tok.
The Albouystown, Georgetown man reportedly posted several nude pictures and videos of the woman on the video-sharing social networking service. Millions of people usually watch and discover personalised short videos on the social media app.
Police said the victim made a report on Wednesday at the Leonora Police Station, West Coast Demerara, against the suspect with whom she shared an intimate relationship.
According to the police, she stated that during the relationship, she sent nude photos and videos of herself from her cell phone to the suspect’s phone.
She further stated that earlier in September she was accused by the suspect of being unfaithful and as a consequence, she opted to end the relationship.
The man would not accept it and threatened to post her nude photos and videos on social media.
The woman claimed that on September 27, she saw a video with several nude photos of herself that she had sent to the suspect posted under the suspect’s profile on Tik Tok.
She then reported the matter, a statement was taken and investigations are underway.
