Joshua Denny, 19, who was shot during an alleged robbery on Thursday morning died while undergoing life-saving surgery, police reported.
Denny, a father of one and an electrician, reportedly left to go to work at about 07:20 hrs. Police said that his sister was subsequently informed that he was shot. When the sister went to the scene, she discovered her brother lying on the roadway, bleeding from a wound to his chest.
As a result she rushed him to the Georgetown Public Hospital. There, doctors rushed him into surgery but Denny succumbed.
The police did not reveal any information linking his death to a robbery but noted that investigations are ongoing.
