Impressive Persaud wins Sankar’s Auto Works golf tournament
Pandit Rabindranauth Persaud produced an impressive performance at the weekend to cart off the top prize in the Sankar’s Auto Works and Auto Colours Medal Play golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Course, East Coast Demerara.
Persaud was five shots clear of his nearest competitor, shooting an amazing Net score of 63, which allowed him to best his handicap of 16 by seven strokes.
So outstanding was Persaud’s performance that he copped the prizes for the Best Net scores on both the front and back nine.
Persaud finished Net 63, Gross 79, followed by Hardeo Ganpat (Net 68/Gross 96) and Eureka Giddings (Net 68/Gross 99).
Reigning Guyana Open champion Avinash Persaud was Nearest-to-the-Pin.
