SUV with important documents stolen after keys left inside

A 27-year-old businessman parked his white SUV Volkswagen motor-van PYY 7703 on Alexander Street, Kitty, Georgetown with the keys in the ignition and later returned to find it missing. 

Police Headquarters reported that the vehicle was parked in front of the Seepaul’s Sports Bar while the driver went into a Chinese restaurant to pick up food at around 21:00hrs on Wednesday. 

He left several land transport, copies of agreement of sales for land and all the relevant documents pertaining to the vehicle (registration, fitness, certificate of insurance and revenue licence) inside the vehicle. The perpetrator also escaped with $500,000 which was also inside the vehicle.

Investigations are ongoing.
