About 10 minutes later, however, a passerby reportedly told Adams that his wife was stung by bees. He was also told that she was lying under a house located about 400 meters from their house.
After going to her rescue, he too was stung by the bees. The extent of Persaud’s injuries is unclear but it was reported that his wife was taken to the New Amsterdam Public hospital where she was pronounced dead.
