A dream will now become reality for Paws For A Cause – Guyana after Mohamed’s Enterprise donated GY$15 million to the animal welfare group towards the construction of their Animal Welfare Centre.

According to the group’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, “this dream is now a path to realisation thanks to the wonderful generosity of Mohamed’s Enterprise. This company, known for its charitable work, has donated the cost of constructing this Animal Welfare Centre. We cannot wait to invite all animal lovers to visit and participate in our programs when the facility is completed in 2022.”

The concept behind the construction of the centre is to “foster a generation of children more compassionate, caring to annual than ours.”

“Our vision for the centre, is one that would be a multipurpose facility – where families, schools, and other groups can come to volunteer, play with, care for, and adopt animals. We intend to also focus on promoting improved health and mood-boosting benefits through animal interaction.”

The statement further highlighted the rigors of animal welfare and the heartbreak of not being able to save every animal and the main objective is to minimise and hopefully eradicate animal abuse.

Paws For A Cause – Guyana called on others to join and become volunteers and also donate to allow them to continue rescue and provide a safe home and help animals recuperate.

A further call was made for persons to spay and neuter animals to control the stray population. Another goal of the group is to build an Animal Shelter.
