Nail technician busted with cocaine in frozen curry and pepperpot at CJIA
Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) on Tuesday intercepted an outgoing passenger on Copa Airlines with cocaine stashed in frozen bowls of curry and pepperpot.
A release from CANU noted that the flight was destined to Panama with onward connections to the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.
According to CANU, a search was conducted on the check-in luggage of 33-year-old Mallika Lambert when they discovered some 6.232 kilograms of suspected cocaine.
Lambert, who is a nail technician, is currently in custody pending investigations.
