CSEC: Improvement in ‘Maths’ for Guyanese candidates

Guyana has recorded a general improvement in the Mathematics subject at the 2021 sitting of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.

This was announced on Thursday morning by the Director of Operations at the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC), Dr. Nicole Manning. She is presenting the Caribbean’s results from this year’s CXC examinations.

Dr. Manning also stated that there has been a general decline in Mathematics across the Caribbean but there have been more Grade One passes recorded.  Of the Caribbean countries, Guyana reportedly recorded a general improvement in this subject but Dr. Manning did not state the size of the improvement.
