Guyana Open build-up continues with Trophy Stall tournament on Saturday

With just about two weeks to go for the Guyana Open, local golfers are fine-tuning their preparations for the mega event and they will have another opportunity to test their readiness on Saturday.

The Club has partnered with the Trophy Stall to host a Medal Play tournament, starting 12:30h at the Lusignan Golf Course, East Coast Demerara.

The 18-hole, Net score competition will get underway with a shotgun start, and another large field is expected as golfers look to sharpen their game for the prestigious Guyana Open.

Players with the top three Net scores will be rewarded with trophies and cash vouchers, as well as those with the best score on the back and front nine and Nearest-to-the-Pin.

Devi Sunich of the Trophy Stall said the establishment, which has been a consistent supporter of sport in Guyana, is pleased to align with the Lusignan Golf Club in the build-up to the Guyana Open.

Over the years, Trophy Stall proprietor Ramesh Sunich has made it his duty to give back to sport, to the point where he was awarded the Male Sport Personality for 2018 at the National Sports Commission annual awards.

Importantly, the Club is urging all players to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols that would be enforced on Saturday.
