RAN Sevens: Guyana beaten 15-7 by Bermuda in game two
The ‘Green Machine’, Guyana’s senior national Men’s Rugby team, lost their second game of the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens tournament on Saturday afternoon in the Turks and Caicos.
Playing at the Meridian Rugby Fields, the Guyanese went down 15-7 to Bermuda in their Pool C contest. Despite the defeat, Guyana remains in the hunt for the title after finishing second in the Pool, following their 36-5 success against Belize earlier in the day.

The top two teams from each of the three Pools have now advanced to the Cup competition, while the bottom teams will play for the Plate on Sunday.
For the Cup competition, the six nations have been re-seeded into two pools of three and play against each of their pool opponents.

These matches will be followed by the Plate final, Third and Fifth and place playoffs and the final of the Cup competition.
The tournament acts as a qualifier for next year’s World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series, with the winning side gaining the opportunity to compete for the 16th and final spot on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens series.
