Competitive golf action continues on Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Course, with C&V Caribbean Shipping Limited partnering with the Lusignan Golf Club as a sponsor.
The 18-hole, Medal Play tournament will tee off at 12:30h with a shotgun start. Interested players are required to register with the Club by calling 220-5660 by noon on Friday.
C&V Caribbean Shipping said it is proud to lend support to the Lusignan Golf Club through sponsorship of the one-day activity, noting that it is always keen on taking advantage of opportunities to give back to society.
“As a company involved mainly in facilitating logistics, import and export we have on occasion been called upon to advice, support or assist the Lusignan Golf Club in small ways. Most recently our interactions with the management team of the club has helped us better appreciate the unique opportunities the sport provides for both recreation and service to the community,” the company said.
“Our group of companies prides itself on offering the highest tier service to its customers and therefore recognises the past and recent efforts that the Lusignan Golf Club has made in improving accountability and inclusivity. C&V Caribbean Shipping offers its tournament sponsorship proudly to the Lusignan Golf Club and wishes all of the participants the best of luck.”
As is customary, there will be several prizes up for grabs. However, the sponsor has added a twist- five players who did not win a prize playing in the tournament will be in with a chance to win a gift, providing they are present at the closing ceremony.
Importantly, the Club is reminding competitors that all COVID-19 protocols would be in effect and it is encouraging full conformity.
This competition is another opportunity for players to test their readiness for the prestigious Guyana Open, set for October 30-31 at the Lusignan Golf Course.
