Berbice man accused of raping three teen boys remanded to prison

Thirty-nine-year old Ravello Tyndall of Corentyne, Berbice appeared at the Whim Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Renita Singh charged with three counts of rape.

He was not required to plea to the charges which alleged that the incidents occurred between January 1, 2021, and October 8, 2021, in Region Six against three boys – ages 15, 16 and 17.

Tyndall was represented by attorney Rodwell Jagmohan and was remanded to prison until November 8, 2021.

The accused was arrested on October 10, 2021, at about 12:30 hrs following a report that was made to the police. The victims reportedly told the police that they are known to Tyndall personally and that they would frequent his house to do chores with the permission of their parents.

It is alleged by the victims that they were raped at knifepoint on several occasions.
