94 COVID deaths in 22 days; 19 in ICU

A total of 94 people have now been confirmed dead in the month of October, increasing the overall COVID-19 death toll to 893, according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry reported on Friday that six more people died.

They were all admitted to medical institutions with COVID-19 symptoms but died while receiving care. Samples were reportedly taken at the time of admission and those were subsequently confirmed positive.

Meanwhile, another 77 individuals were infected with COVID-19 from 1,199 tests. With these new cases, the total number of confirmed infections has increased to 34,877.

These new cases were recorded in: Region One (three cases), Region Two (eight cases), Region Three (17 cases), Region Four (34 cases), Region Five (five cases), Region Six (four cases), Region Eight (three cases) and Region 10 (three cases).

There are also 19 patients receiving care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 108 people in institutional isolation, 3,390 people in home isolation and six people in institutional quarantine.

Meanwhile, a total of 30,567people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
