Police issues wanted bulletin for Charlestown murder suspect

The Guyana Police Force has issued a wanted bulletin for Kevin Hendricks, the man who allegedly murdered Carl Cameron, a vendor of Charlestown, Georgetown. Hendricks, 30, is also from Charlestown.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Kevin Hendricks is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 672-1390, 227-0968, 226-6978, 225-8196, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with the strictest confidence, the police said.

Cameron, 48, died after he was reportedly stabbed five times by Hendricks on Sunday afternoon.

Police Headquarters reported that Hendricks had accused Cameron of sharing an intimate photo with him and his (Hendricks) girlfriend on social media.

Cameron was attacked by the suspect at about 18:00hrs on Sunday.

Police said the vendor was in front of his yard selling confectioneries when the suspect approached him and pointed an object, suspected to be an ice-pick, and stabbed Cameron five times, three times to his chest and twice to the back.

After Cameron fell on the ground, the suspect escaped. Cameron was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
