An accident on Airy Hall Public Road, Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara on Sunday at around 16:00hrs resulted in the death of a 44-year-old woman.
Dead is Petal Payne of East Canefield, East Canje Berbice. Police Headquarters reported that Payne was negotiating a sharp turn when she lost control of her motorcycle CJ 975 and crashed.
She was picked up in a semi-conscious state and taken to the Mahaicony Public Hospital and later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she died at around 22:00hrs.
