Guyana ended Group C action of the Concacaf Girls Under-17 Championship Qualifier on Monday with a commanding 6-0 win over the Turks and Caicos at the IMG Academy in Florida.

The win meant the Guyanese ended second in the Group behind the unbeaten Honduras, who defeated Anguilla 12-0, Turks and Caicos 7-0 and Guyana 6-0.

With the victory, Guyana finished as the best-ranked second place team among the three groups with six points from three matches to punch their ticket to next year’s Concacaf Under-17 tournament.

Honduras and Guyana will join St. Kitts and Nevis and Curacao as teams who have advanced to the 2022 tournament from the Qualifying Stage.

On Monday, Guyana got goals off the cleats of three players, namely Ayana Willabus, Sandra Johnson and Jalade Trim, who all netted a double each.

Willabus scored in the 21st and 38th minutes; Johnson in the 30th and 82nd and Trim in the 47th and 53rd minutes.

Guyana had made a winning start to their campaign with a 1-0 win over Anguilla last Thursday.
