Another eight individuals, including four men and four women, died during the first week of November, taking the overall death toll to 941.
A total of 15 COVID-19 deaths have already been recorded this month.
According to the Ministry of Health, the patients were admitted with COVID-19 symptoms but died while receiving care at a medical institution. Their samples were taken when they were admitted and those tests subsequently returned positive.

Meanwhile, another 86 people were infected over a 24-hour period; the new cases were recorded after 1,606 tests were conducted. With these new cases, the total number of confirmed cases recorded in Guyana since March last year has increased to 36,079.
The new cases were recorded in: Region One (one new case), Region Two (three cases), Region Three (six cases), Region Four (37 cases), Region Five (13 cases), Region Six (12 cases), Region Seven (two cases), Region Eight (two cases) and Region 10 (10 cases).
There are also 10 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 64 people in institutional isolation, 11 people in institutional quarantine and 2,472 people in home isolation.
Importantly, a total of 32,592 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
