Omari Glasgow led from the front on Monday afternoon as Guyana defeated the US Virgin Islands 5-1 in their second match of Group D action in the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship Qualifiers.

After a goalless draw against the Cayman Islands on Saturday, Guyana made a huge statement against the USVI, with captain Glasgow leading the charge with a hat-trick.

The skipper netted in the 34th, 41st and 57th minutes to lead Guyana to full points.

Darron Niles scored on the stroke of half-time to give Guyana a 3-0 advantage at the break, and Ravi Coates extended the margin of victory with a strike in the 88th minute.

Naqwan Henry was the man on target for USVI in the 55th minute. With the win, the Guyanese are atop Group D.

Guyana will be in action again on Wednesday when they face Nicaragua from 19:00h.
