U-20 Football: Glasgow leads Guyana to 5-1 win over USVI

Omari Glasgow led from the front on Monday afternoon as Guyana defeated the US Virgin Islands 5-1 in their second match of Group D action in the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship Qualifiers.

After a goalless draw against the Cayman Islands on Saturday, Guyana made a huge statement against the USVI, with captain Glasgow leading the charge with a hat-trick.

The skipper netted in the 34^th, 41^st and 57^th minutes to lead Guyana to full points.

Darron Niles scored on the stroke of half-time to give Guyana a 3-0 advantage at the break, and Ravi Coates extended the margin of victory with a strike in the 88^th minute.

Naqwan Henry was the man on target for USVI in the 55^th minute. With the win, the Guyanese are atop Group D.

Guyana will be in action again on Wednesday when they face Nicaragua from 19:00h.
