The Ministry of Health on Tuesday reported that six persons who tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 have died. This means that since March 2020, 951 persons have died from the virus.

Three of the persons who died were unvaccinated, while the vaccination status of the other three is unknown.

It must be noted that two of the latest reported deaths occurred on October 03 and 30, which means that 128 people would have succumbed to the dreaded virus in October.

Another of the deaths reported on Tuesday also occurred on September 30, taking the total number of deaths for September to 173 – the highest ever recorded deaths in one month.

And thus far, 21 deaths have been recorded in November.

Meanwhile, 48 new COVID infections were recorded from 1,410 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 36,305.

The new cases were recorded in the following regions: Region Two (two cases), Region Three (five cases), Region Four (26 cases), Region Six (13 cases) and Region Ten (two cases).

There are now 17 patients in the COVID Intensive Care Unit, 59 patients are in institutional isolation and 2,284 are in home isolation.

To date, 33,053 persons have recovered from the virus.
