    The Ministry of Health on Sunday reported that two more people who tested positive for COVID-19 have died.

    The new deaths are one woman, 51, and a man, 71, both from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).  They were both unvaccinated and died on Saturday November 13.

    The total number of persons who died in November thus far is 29 while 959 people have died since March 2020.

    The ministry also reported 76 new COVID-19 cases from a total of 804 tests. This takes the overall number of confirmed cases to 36, 817.

    The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Two (two cases), Region Three (six cases), Region Four (40 cases), Region Five (three cases), Region Six (20 cases), Region Eight (two cases) and Region Nine (three cases).

    There are 15 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, 57 cases are in institutional isolation, and 2, 282 patients are in home isolation.

    To date, 33, 504 persons have recovered from the virus.
