$115M worth in ganja farms, plants destroyed

Police ranks of Region Six have destroyed 120,000 ganja plants and 450lbs of ganja which was valued at $115 million.

Police Headquarters reported that the eradication exercise was carried out at For Nassau, Berbice River.

Police said four farms were discovered with thousands of plants ranging from one foot to six feet, along with a camp and drying area.

In the drying area the 450lbs of ganja was found. The camp, dried cannabis and cannabis plants were destroyed by fire.
