Two more COVID deaths, 44 new cases

Two women, an unvaccinated 93-year-old and a 78-year-old whose vaccination status is unknown have been recorded as the country’s latest COVID-19 deaths.

The Ministry of Health reported that both women died on November 15. This takes the total number of persons who have died since March 2020 to 961 while 31 people have died for November thus far.

Meanwhile, 44 new COVID cases were recorded from a total of 1, 014 tests, taking the overall number of confirmed cases to 36, 916.

The new cases were recorded in the following regions; Region Three (eight cases), Region Four (23 cases), Region Five (two cases), Region Six (seven cases), Region Seven (two cases), Region Nine (one case) and Region Ten (one case).

There are 17 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 51 patients are in institutional isolation and 2, 018 persons are in home isolation.

To date, 33, 869 people have recovered from the virus.
