Dozens of packets containing cannabis- weighing 534 grams (or just over one pound) in total- were found in an abandoned property located between Trench Road and James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown.
The narcotics were discovered on Tuesday, during an operation conducted by officers attached to the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU).
A release from CANU noted that this operation is an extension of the agency’s efforts to target individuals who sell and distribute narcotics in communities.
No individual has been detained, but CANU says that investigations are ongoing.
