Woman, 30, among four new COVID-19 deaths; 83 new cases
A 30-year-old woman from Region Five (Mahaica- Berbice), who was unvaccinated, is among the four latest COVID-19 deaths reported by the Ministry of Health.
With these four deaths, there have been a total of 965 COVID-19 deaths recorded locally since March 11, 2020; 35 of those deaths have been recorded in November.
The details on the latest fatalities are provided below:
Meanwhile, a total of 83 individuals became infected with the virus over a 24-hour period. These new cases were recorded after 1,386 PCR COVID-19 tests were conducted. This means that the overall number of confirmed cases in Guyana has increased to 36,999.
These new cases were recorded in: Region Two (four new cases), Region Three (11 cases), Region Four (45 cases), Region Five (four cases), Region Six (13 cases), Region Seven (one case), Region Eight (two cases) and Region 10 (three cases).
There are also 20 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 56 people in institutional isolation, nine people in institutional quarantine and 1,988 people in home isolation.
Importantly, a total of 33,970 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
